This place is very earthy!
A unique college town feel (at least the Fullerton location) hippy joint. This hole in the wall has "gone green" before it was popular to "go green." Taking pride in their fresh vegeables, Ruta's offers huge salads with about 12 different original dressings. My favorite item is the Tuna Wrap: Tuna, shredded carrots, tomato & spinach served with balsamic vinaigrette. But first I like to start with a bowl of Cockie Leeky soup (it tastes better than it sounds)- chicken, rice and leeks in a rich creamy broth. Excellent quality with poor student affordability.
So if you dare to break away from the establishment, chill at 3 different restaurant locations in Orange County. Oh, they also have Ruta's Old Town Inn, a newly renovated craftsman cottage in historic Old Towne Orange, convenient to Disney and Knott's Berry Farm.
